Since moving to the West Coast about 6 years ago, I've been wanting to travel to more states that I haven't been to. The end of the summer this year took me to Utah, just a short flight away from San Francisco. I attended a photography workshop from the guys at PhotogAdventures and PhotoPills, which was fun and informative. We did some Milky Way photography on-location as well as a day and a half of classroom sessions. I feel a lot more comfortable using PhotoPills now, and I met some great people!
After the workshop, my brother and I continued down towards Moab. We checked out Canyonlands National Park for several hours. We thought we were going to camp there but some confusion with the reservation process led us to making other plans. Overall I drove about 1,000mi in a few days and got to see what life is like across a good portion of Utah.
Taking photos was fun, but flying my drone is also fun. I put together this video of the trip. Enjoy!
